The Icelandic Museum of Rock 'n' Roll
The Icelandic Museum of Rock 'n' Roll is one of the most unique places to visit in Reykjanesbær. The museum details the history and transformation of Icelandic pop and rock music, dating all the way back to 1830 and to present times.

Bergid
Enjoy nature in its rawest form at Bergid. This is the ideal place for a clifftop walk over lava fields and open water. At Bergid, you can climb up to overlook the harbor and hear the waves breaking against the shore. This isn’t a hike for beginners, as getting to the top is a bit challenging. For less experienced hikers, try climbing the shorter cliffs where you can still see awesome ocean views.
Giantess Cave—Skessuhellir
Enjoy a beautiful waterfront cave that's home to a large troll sculpture when visiting Giantess Cave. The mysterious cave is located near the marina in Keflavík and has been open to the public since 2008.
The character inside of the cave comes from the story of Sigga and the Giantess. The Giantess stands over five metres high, and she is quite interactive! She breathes, burps, snores, and has other human-like traits that are sure to make kids and adults laugh.
Be sure to bring a pen and piece of paper with you so that you can leave a letter in the mailbox inside of the cave!
Stekkjarkot
Take a step back in time with a trip to Stekkjarkot. The museum was once a 1800s fisherman's cottage. The cottage is made from stone, timber, and turf, and it shows the early craftsmanship of Icelandic people hundreds of years ago.
Stekkjarkot has been open to the public since 1993 and is free to visit. This is the perfect place to stop if you want to go somewhere off the beaten path. You won't find crowds at the Stekkjarkot, which allows you to best experience this old Icelandic home.Traversing Reykjanesbær
